After 6 years, one kid, 3 dogs, several designs, tons of life changes….my stamp/scrap/sewing room is finally FINISHED! WOOO HOOOOO!!!!!
Here are the photos I took today! I LOVE LOVE LOVE how my room turned out…. And I want to give a special shout out to one of my best buds, Katina Martinez, she has helped me so much over the years. Not to mention she has tolerated me wanting to hang on to junk I didn’t need, crap I should get rid of, and piles of good for nothing stuff. She slowly but surely convinced me that no matter if it was free that doesn’t mean I HAVE to keep it. LOL. She convinced me that hanging on to stuff because I like the “IDEA” of it, doesn’t make it functional. She is a organizing guru. In fact I think she needs a blog called The Organizing Guru. LOL… SO hats off to you Katina for putting up with me and I am very grateful for your friendship and your help in creating my own small, yet perfect corner of the world. The corner I can be me in, the corner I can create in for my family and friends and the little space in the world that is all mine, that reflects my inside. Who knew this would end up a sappy post…. Well it has. Katina and I have been friends for 20 years, I can’t believe I can say I have been friends with someone 20 years,,, ick! But we have… through lots of ups and downs. But we have always stood by each other, maybe in spurts of not speaking, at times despite our irritations with each other, and we have also shared a lot of happy memories. As important as my family is to me, my life would not be the same without my friends.
I hope you all create your space that gives you as much happiness as mine gives me.

Your room looks great! How nice to have a friend that you are that close to over the years. Now I'm thinking all of us clutter bugs could use a Katina in our lives. I agree w/ Patty, that would be a great post, sharing idea's that work.

You are so funny and so super sweet and you know that I love you more than my luggage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I love you way more now that your room is “fixed” I'm so happy that you have a place that you can finally feel good about creating in. My main goal in getting you to come on over to my side of the organizational world was knowing that you would be so much happier and it would be way easier for you to create all the beautiful things you love creating!
Now …. when can I have a cup of coffee and hang out with you in that newly finished room!
