How to Decorate your Erin Condren Planner

For life and for school I have to be organized.  I get asked all the time “How do you do it all?”  My first response is usually, “I don’t know” haha… After some thought I must admit one of the reasons I can do as much as I do is my God given organizational skills.  We all have attributes, right?  Well this is one of mine. I’ve always been an organized person, since I was a child.  My Mom, would say “You always had a little box for everything and everything had a place.”  Some say OCD, I say, dedicated to organization.

Anyway, these planners are a huge help to me.  I got my Life Planner last year and I LOVE it.  So I decided to opt for the Erin Condren Teacher Planner.  Some of you weighed in on this decision earlier this year.

When I got the planner I spent a couple of hours filling in the dates and starting to write out the basic school year plan.  You know, the important things like when school is out 🙂  …   Then it hit me!  I have the perfect stamps to add some super cute decoration to this bad boy.  So I started STAMPING! The Project Life by Stampin’ UP stamp sets are PERFECT for decorating your planner.  How fun are these!?  You can see below I stamped all those snow flakes.  The holiday Project Life by Stampin’ UP! set will be out on August 28th.  You can order the other sets in my online store.

Money Bags… er eh… Envelopes

Have you ever heard of Dave Ramsey?  No.  Well he’s so cool.  He is a financial guru and believes in living debt fee and on a real budget.  My husband and I really enjoy his teachings.  We have not always followed them, because um, we are human. LOL.  But we try.  Recently I’ve wanted to get back into the habit of some of his ideas.  One of his ideas is having envelopes (Dave’s Envelope System) that are marked with Food, Gas, Household Items, Clothes.  You put your money in those envelopes each month and then you use that money through the month.  When the money is gone it’s gone.  This way you aren’t using your debit card for stuff.  You apparently spend more when you do that.

I wanted cute envelopes for a our money.  So I made these up.  Then I thought maybe you’d want a kit.  So I am selling kits including the Project Life by Stampin’ UP! pen.  You can get the kit for $7 including shipping.

Kit includes:
– Five 3-1/4″ x 12″ strips of Back to Black Paper, pre scored.
– 10 Large Whisper White Oval Punches
– One Project Life by Stampin’ UP! Pen
**use any of your own favorite color markers to brighten up your paper.**

Watch the video here to learn how to put the envelopes together.

Photopolymer Stamp Organization, Weekly Deals & Beauty of the Season

I have several Photopolymer stamp sets that I put in these boxes.  This was before Stampin’ UP! started providing a dvd case for each stamp set.  I couldn’t stand it anymore.  So I put them in this binder.  I got the binder at Staples and purchased sheet protectors to put in it.  Then I am putting each stamp in a sleeve.
Here it is all finished up.  Hope you like it and I hope it gives you some ideas.  I spent all of about $8 on this little project.   I do not regret the $8… My photopolymers are now cleaned up and looking nice on my shelf 🙂

Tips Tricks and Techniques #2 Stampin’ Scrubber

The Stampin’ Scrubber is one of the best tools I have in my “arsenal”.  I love it.  WAY back in 2010 when I became a Stampin’ UP! Demonstrator there were no Stampin’ Scrubbers.  They were reinventing them.  Stampin’ UP! sent us a message saying just use baby wipes for now.  They are safe and won’t hurt your stamps.  Well I did that.  And I kept with that.  I just used baby wipes for probably 2 years.  I saw no need to change.  I would get really aggravated with the little lint stuff that would stick on my stamps from the baby wipes.  Finally I decided I need to try the scrubber.  HEAVEN!  Totally changed my whole Stamping world.  It’s so much nicer to use and cleans my stamps so well.
No more lint balls .. LOL

Here is a video on my Stampin Scrubber and how awesome it is. There’s a little tip on making your Stampin’ Mist go further also.

I thought I was overdue for a stamp room update 🙂  I wanted to show you some of the new goodies I recently picked up.

FIRST… for my birthday I got this AWESOME IKEA CART.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!  I am using it to store all of my big shot stuff in the top and then other miscellaneous stamping supplies on the other two racks.  I already want another one.

I also got a new computer.  YAY! I had the same computer for 6 years, so I was due.  I switched from PC to MAC.  It’s been a crazy transition and I am learning every day.  Things that use to take me 5-10 minutes are taking me 20-30.  Once I get the hang of it though it’s going to be AWESOME.  I already love the layout of the MAC so much better and it’s so easy to use.

November Hostess CodeZ4NQCH2X

Hi Everyone,
I am home from Disneyland and am seriously playing catch up.  I have this video and tip for you though.  I thought it would be valuable, I know it was for me.  Happy Monday!

I have saved all the plastic holders that my framelits came in, knowing some day they would come in handy for SOMETHING.  Finally it hit me what I could use them for.

I hope you enjoyed Disney week.  It was sure fun doing all those Disney projects.

Here is the video on how to make the cool holders for your embellishments.
